EXECUTIVE BIOS

Norman Langill, President & CEO

Norm Langill

Norm Langill

A founding member of the One Reel Vaudeville Show, Norm has served as President of One Reel since 1972. The once traveling, off-beat vaudeville troupe created campy classics, all performed from the fold-down stage of a 1931 Model A truck. Norman's career broadened to stage and screen actor, Emmy award-winning writer, playwright, director, producer, and as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Northwest non-profit One Reel.

While best known for high-profile projects like Bumbershoot, Norman is more likely to cite his other accomplishments: orchestrating the first live performance of Spinal Tap; producing the first U.S. National tour of The Grand Kabuki Theatre of Japan; producing the original tri-lingual musical Gumbo YaYa at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona and creating the special world of Teatro ZinZanni.

Lori Friedt, Finance Director

Lori Friedt

Lori Friedt

Joining up with One Reel in Feb of 2005 was a great move for this events veteran. She started out as a volunteer at a small Oregon craft/music festival 27 years ago and has worked that festival for 20 of those years. Her two-year tenure as Seafair's Finance Manager, gave her the event production background required by One Reel's rigorous production schedule. Navigating through the banking industry, high-tech electronic manufacturing and the non-profit sector prepared Lori for the complicated and diverse demands of One Reel. In 2005, the finance team handled all revenue distribution, collection and reconciliations. For the 2006 season and on, the finance team added admissions to their festival responsibilities, which encompassed ushering 150,000 ticketed patrons through our gates during the 3 day Bumbershoot festival.

In addition to our festival division, Lori's department produces all accounting documents for our Teatro ZinZanni division.
